- Im not going to comment on what accessories, etc round 4, etc comes with yet.
- Im still considering resculpts as long as I can do something new and fun with them
- ive been told SF 3 variants will ship third week october
- the round 4 variant sprites are accurate. BUT they are open to interpretation. Capcom is the final say on what the color woould look like in real life.. remember they werent working with the unlimited color palletes we have now
- I might lock ORO in.. might not
- Im not going to answer any mroe q's on NPC or characters that havent been voted on yet..its all speculation.
- Someday SF might go online only...so far sales are great so I dont think about it much
- birdies chain isnt painted..
- I doubt we'll vary skin tones on variants..its too confusing for the factory and too likely there will be mistakes
- Third Strike and Alpha Akuma has different belts and sandals
- if I didnt answer your question its not personal.. I either dont have an answer or its something that I answer every single time. There is nothing wrong with Street fighter that every other toy company deals with on their lines. We're at round 5 right now... and I remember everyone doubting we could even make it past round 3...

Street Fighter 4: New Title/Details/Lies?
Source: SPOnG News
According to the Internet in all its various forms, Street Fighter 4 does exist. And it’s called Street Fighter: Battle for the Past. And it features characters from past iterations of the franchise – 24 of them, apparently. Oh, and it’s coming out on Sammy’s AtomisWave arcade board.
According to Capcom, nothing is actually happening, though any announcement is expected to hit the Japanese press, most likely Famitsu, when the time comes.
So you have a title, and some vague idea of platform and characters to be getting on with. For the record, SPOnG believes that the title might be correct, though the use of the AtomisWave board makes little sense, given the profile of the series.
We will, of course, keep you updated.

- Things are going so much smoother in china right now..I should be able to give a date when Street fighter 3 will hit shelves soon. And it should be pretty accurate.
- Round 4 variants.. I believe theres a thread started by Corner Store Comics giving the variants. There are still 2 variants not yet announced but they will be SOTA webstore exclusives. Corner Store is not joking when they say we are only making between 500-1000 of each variant so they are going to go real quick. Also as they said SHIN AKUMA will be a one per case chase figure.
- Everyone here at SOTA plus Capcom has a say in what the variant colors will be.. we do look at this forum a lot to decide.
- Trans Birdie is red
- There has been work done to Remy. Probably wont show him again until November sometime
- Round 6 voting is pushed until Nov 1st - Green Balrog.. I cant figure this one out. I dont believe we made a green balrog..I believe hes yellow. - Not sure if we will offer a vote on thin Bison/Alpha chunner on round 6 or not....
- Black Gen will only be available through the SOTA website and I believe theres less than 500 of them coming.
- As for doing SF animated/ova figures.. we try to blend all the different SF styles into this one line. I dont think the market could handle a purely Anime style right now
- Capcom merging or being bought out has no affect on us.
- ... do i think we will see every single SF and DS character... its tough. Oil prices are through the roof..plastic and shipping costs are way too high. If it continiues Im not 100% sure anymore...I think if it contonues you will see a lot less toys made in general. Having said that Im certainly going to try and amke them all. Im positive you will at the very least see a round 7. Hopefully by then everything has stablizied.
- Darkstalkers will always be 4 fig per wave
- I havent thought about round 6 voting yet (which is why its not happening Oct 1)..but you might see Urien in there. Other q's about him will have to wait until hes selected.
- no plans for any more Blankas
- The plan for SF and DS has always been every 4 months. I just cant seem to keep to it
- I appreciate all the fans who come here to talk about the figures. Its fun. I dont mind the criticisms when they come. SOTA is a fan built company...its amazing we came this far so fast. Its because of the fans..it would be extremely arrogant of me to think that not that we have some success i can ignore them. I get busy at times but Im always looking through here
- My fav character thus far changes all the time but right now it is.....Sagat. I just have too much fun posing him.
- Oro is my most wanted..but he never seems to win
- Theres no science behind how we choose characters for voting...its me and the art dept in a room throwing ideas around.. seeing which ones match and which ones we need to leave for later lines. And of course we look at the threads here at Action-Figure SOTA Forum.

- I am still up for doing some resculpts...thin Bison being the main one - SF round 6 will probably be voted on before end of the year - both capcom us and japan have a say..moreso japan though
- SF round 4 is jan/feb 06 - umm Remy does not get special treatment on accessories.. he gets..well.. not time yet
- Birdie doesnt come with a middle finger hand.. come on guys.. kids buy these toys too - He might come with a licking head...we'll see
- Lord Raptor is a fun figure to play with. Posing him is a blast..so yeah Im looking forwrd to him
- every color variant will be available through our website
- Black gen will be available through our website.. its going to be EXTREMELY limited...less than 500 I think
- There is no Orange Adon.. its red and white.. im not sure but I think the colors are just not adjusted correctly in that add everyones looking at.
- If you want the variants in the cool japanese packaging then yeah you have to buy them from japan. We'll have all the colors on our website in US packaging in about a month.
- Black Gen will not be available in the UK..only through the SOTA website...not sure if its set up for international orders again or not..
- No plans for DOA or CvSNK or Final Fight
- the Dolls will be online only..no stores want to carry super obscure non playable characters.. We're only going to make maybe 1000 of each doll.
- Once Hugo wins a round and is in a lineup then we'll think about what to do with him. I really dont think about characters until we're makign them.
- We actually can make newer characters such as Ingrid - Havent really figured out the whole 'online only' character thing... so no plans for any online only characters yet..Im sure it will happen at some point. Well other than the dolls.

More on Street Fighter Alpha 3 Double Upper...
From: IGN.com
September 16, 2005 - At last year's Tokyo Game Show, Capcom showed the PSP to be a swell home for traditional 2D graphic techniques with its Darkstalkers Chronicle revival. This year, most of Capcom's games have abandoned sprites (although not the flat-plane viewpoint that is one of the classic aspects of 2D techniques), but the PSP version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 is still exact to the arcade games that it originated in.
The PSP's SF gets a spiffy new title: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Double Upper (not written on the game necessarily, but described with two arrows in the logo.) The change is due mostly to the character changes. Added to the already-impressive roster are a number of characters from SF3 and other Street Fighter games, including Eagle, Maki and Yun. Also brand new to PSP edition is Ingrid from the ill-fated Capcom Fighting Jam. Ingrid is all a'flutter with dancing moves as she fights, with spins and twirls in her kicks. Her silly style might have seemed a little out of place in earlier Street Fighters, but she melds into SFA's colorful character set just fine. Eagle also has a cool bat-swing that knocks fireballs back at you, which was cool to see.
SFA3 Double Upper earns its new title in other ways as well. There is the ability to choose a tag partner for special bout types and swap out as in the VS. games from Capcom. There's also a new 2D opening sequence that uses a simple cartoon style that may be less flashy than what Capcom does these days but feels fitting for the Alpha series.
Translating the game to PSP might seem to be easy -- it's 2D, and the PSP has tons of horsepower -- but Darkstalkers struggled some on the system. Street Fighter Alpha 3 fares better. The game is in true widescreen now instead of the stretch mode used for Darkstalkers, and the loadtimes are faster and more regularly tied with the flashy Street Fighter effects screens than the blank "Now Loading" page. The 2D animation looks smooth and fast on the PSP, although the game does show its age -- around the corner is Guilty Gears XX, and it is sugar-sweet. Street Fighter Alpha 3 also has a few of the control hang-ups that Darkstalkers suffered with the PSP's stiff D-Pad. Fireballs came off more regularly than Darkstalkers, but we still missed a few of them, and SFA3 is so manic that you need the control at your fingertips ever time. There were a few options on the front end for controls, and while we didn't find anything to soften up responsiveness completely, we'll play with some of the toggles another time and see what the difference is and how dependable the controls are when the game is released in Japan later this year.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 PSP site opens...
From: Gamespot
Capcom Fighting Evolution's Ingrid joins the roster for handheld version of much-ported fighter.
The official Japanese Web site for Capcom's upcoming PSP edition of Street Fighter Zero 3 (Street Fighter Alpha 3 to North American audiences) is live, and it gives fans a peek at one new addition to the series. The site is pretty bare bones at the moment, offering little more than a handful of screenshots on a splash page, but one of those screenshots reveals the inclusion of Capcom Fighting Evolution's Ingrid in the game. The game also includes Yun, Maki, and Eagle, characters that were added for the GameBoy Advance version. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper (working title) is slated for a November release in North America.
